After decades as the leader in expedition travel, Lindblad’s expanding portfolio had outgrown a brand still known primarily for expedition cruises. With new competitors entering the luxury adventure market, the company needed to clarify its positioning and refresh its legacy brand while preserving its spirit of exploration.

I&CO began a multi-year transformation by unifying Lindblad’s expanded offerings into a cohesive brand architecture and refreshed parent-company strategy. Multi-modal research revealed that modern luxury-adventure travelers seek authentic, expert-led experiences rather than traditional “white glove” service.
Using these insights, we built a clear brand framework and identity system—defining customer benefits, modernizing the visual and verbal identity, and creating an experience concept that captured Lindblad’s pursuit of awe and discovery—then brought the brand to life across print and digital channels.
