With the group philosophy of "Creating Happiness and Harmony in Our Communities", Lawson Bank envisioned a new ATM experience as part of its social infrastructure. I&CO helped develop the initial product concept. By collaborating with external partners, we worked to design the ATM enclosure, the interface, and the overall customer experience.
We introduced a simple interface on the ATM’s large vertical touch panel for intuitive interaction. The conventional cancel-red and confirmation-green color associations were reexamined so that the new cancel button comes with a neutral color.
During the development process, I&CO conducted a series of verification surveys to assess the ATM enclosure and interface to achieve a universal design that satisfies diverse user requirements. Not only is the enclosure optimized for customers in wheelchairs, but the display can be adjusted according to the customer’s eye level.
The ATM is designed to ensure customer privacy. The position and angle of the touch screen display, visor, rear-view mirror, and footage of the area behind the customer on-screen enable ease of mind.
We designed a versatile design system for Lawson Bank to foresee possible errors during customer transactions. Font and color components are designed for easy reading by a diverse audience.
